Chapter 3 Coating and finish | How to lure making

A closed eye screw is attached

A closed eye screw is attached to the body of lure.
This lure does not put in weight.
Only under the weight of a closed eye screw and a hook, it becomes a just right way of floating.

The pattern of a face is carved.

The pattern of the portion of gills is carved using Chisel.
The slot for attaching a lip is also engraved on this step by a saw.

An aluminum foil tape is stuck

An aluminum foil tape is stuck on the body of lure.
A scale pattern is engraved on the stuck aluminum.

The back is also decorated with a pattern

A scale pattern is engraved also on the portion of the wood of the back.
And a pattern is drawn also on a face.

Coating

Lure is dipped in cellulose cement.
This is repeated about 8 times.

The belly of lure is applied to the next white by a color spray.

If a paint gets dry, lure will be again soaked in cellulose cement.
This is repeated about 8 times.

Attachment of a lip

A polycarbonate plate is used for the material of a lip.
This board is turned off with nippers and it forms with sandpaper.


Finish

It is completion of lure when attaching an eyeball and a lip.
